What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional therapy isaperson‐centred,holistic approach to healthcare, used to assist you to optimise your health and wellbeing. It is based upon the assessment of your health, diet and lifestyle. This assessment then provides the basis for recommendations, which are supported by nutritional, lifestyle- based and health related sciences. Recommendations will be discussed and negotiated with you.
Nutrition and lifestyle approaches to healthcare have, repeatedly, been shown to support the health of all major body systems (skeletal, muscular, nervous, respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, excretory, endocrine, immune, reproductive and integumentary [skin, hair, nails]).

Helen has a Diploma in Nutrition from the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) gained after 3 years of training. She is also a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT).
Committed to professional development, Helen regularly attends seminars and workshops to update and broaden her knowledge.
As a nutritional therapist, she concentrates on the role of nutrition, nutrients and other biological agents that may be used in conjunction with lifestyle changes to assist her clients in maintaining optimal health.
In recent years, she has concentrated on areas related to supporting gastrointestinal health, weight management and female hormone balance.
Helen has a passion for food and healthy eating. She enjoys supporting her clients to find foods and ways of eating, which they can enjoy and which also support them to achieve their goals.

Helen offers a small number of reduced rate consultations depending on availability and circumstance.
